RESPON TANAMAN JAGUNG TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK PELENGKAP CAIR DAN SUMBER BENIH DARI PANJANG TONGKOL BERBEDA

Abstract


Response of corn plants to the provision of complementary liquid fertilizers and seed sources from different ear lengths. Supervised by Edy and Maimuna. This study aims to 1. Determine the effect of seed sources of different ear lengths on the growth and production of maize. 2. Knowing the effect of supplementary liquid fertilizer on the growth and production of maize. 3. Knowing the interaction between the provision of liquid complementary fertilizers and the source of seeds from different ear lengths on the growth and production of maize. This research was conducted at the Research Institute for Cereal Plants (BALITSEREAL), Maros, South Sulawesi, Indonesia from August to December 2019. This research used a Divided Plot Design (RPT). The main plot is liquid complementary fertilizer consisting of 2 levels: No liquid fertilizer and application of liquid fertilizer. Anak Perak is the source of seeds from different ear lengths consisting of 3 levels: short ear (<10 cm), medium ear (10-15 cm), long ear (> 15 cm). The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, male flowering age 50%, female flowering age 50%, ear location, plant dry weight, number of cobs per plant, ear length, ear diameter, ear seed weight, weight. 100 seeds, seed weight per plot and seed production per hectare. The results showed that the application of complementary liquid fertilizer at a dose of 1 gram / 3 liters of water gave the best results at 50% female flowering age. As for the source of seeds, the longest ear length (> 15 cm) had a good effect on ear length, ear seed weight, seed weight per plot and seed production per hectare.
