Abstract


Agronomic Characteristics of BC2F1 Genotypes of Local Pulut Corn Parents and Srikandi Putih Varieties from Seeds with Two Different Shelf Ages. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the Agronomic Characteristics of BC2F1 Genotype of Pulut Local Corn and Srikandi Putih Parents from Seeds with Two Different Shelf Ages. The study was conducted at the Cereal Research Institute (BALITSEREAL), Maros, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. August to December 2019. The materials used in this study were BC2F1 corn seeds, white srikandi, local pulut, calaris, urea and NPK fertilizers, using a randomized block design (RBD) with a two-factor factorial pattern. The first factor is the type of variety (V) which consists of Srikandi Putih, Lokal Pulut and BC2F1. The second factor is the shelf life (U) consisting of 1 month shelf life of seeds (U1) and 6 months of seed shelf life (U2). The results showed that the BC2F1 genotype had a good effect on the agronomic characters of ear diameter, ear seed weight, 100 seeds weight, seed weight per plot, and seed production per hectare. The 1 month shelf life of seeds had a good effect on the parameters of ear diameter, ear weight, seed weight per plot, and seed production per hectare. The interaction between genotype BC2F1 and seed shelf life of 1 month had a good effect on ear diameter
