DAYA MULTIPLIKASI TUNAS KENTANG SECARA IN VITRO DALAM MEDIA DASAR MURASHIGE AND SKOOG (MS) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN SUPLEMEN EKSTRAK TOMAT DAN AIR KELAPA

Abstract


This study aimed to determine the in vitro multiplication of potato shoots (Solanum tuberosum L.) in Murashige and Skoog (MS) media with the addition of tomato extract and coconut water supplements. This research was conducted in the Tissue Culture laboratory, UPT. Horticultural Plant Seed Center, Department of Food Security and Horticulture, South Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted from March 2021 to May 2021. This study was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) with a two-factor pattern. The first factor, 4 levels of tomato extract; 0%, 6%, 8%, 10%. The second factor, 4 levels of coconut water; 0%, 10%, 15%, 20%. From these two factors, 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 64 experimental units. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and 1% BNJ. Parameters observed were shoot emergence time, root emergence time, shoot length, number of shoots, number of leaves and number of internodes. The results showed that the interaction of tomato extract and coconut water had a very significant effect on all observation parameters. Better interaction was shown in the use of 15% coconut water and 0% tomato extract. The use of tomato extract 8% gave a better effect on the time of emergence of shoots, time of emergence of roots, shoot length, number of leaves, number of books, except for the number of shoots. The use of 15% coconut water gave a better effect on all observation parameters
