IDENTIFIKASI DAERAH RAWAN LONGSOR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS DI KECAMATAN MANGKUTANA KABUPATEN LUWU TIMUR

Abstract


This research aims to find out landslide-prone areas using geographic information systems in Mangkutana Subdistrict and find out landslide disaster mitigation efforts that can be used in Mangkutana Subdistrict. This research was conducted in Mangkutana Subdistrict, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, from March 2021 to April 2021. This study uses the method of scoring and weighting the parameters that cause landslides and overlaying maps using GIS. The parameters used are, rainfall, topography, soil type, geology and land use. The results showed that landslide-prone areas in Mangkutana Subdistrict. Divided into three levels of insecurity, namely the level of high insecurity with an area of 37639.09 ha or 36.82%, the level of moderate insecurity with an area of 52992.48 ha or 51.84% and the level of low insecurity with an area of 11594.26 ha or 11.34%. Efforts to mitgasi landslide hazards that can be applied in Mangkutana Subdistrict, for high levels of insecurity with technical methods such as the creation of drainage channels, bronjong, trap terracing and cliff strengthening buildings, as well as vegetative methods by planting trees / plants annually, planting shrubs and grasses. While mitigation efforts for moderate levels of insecurity are only vegetative methods such as planting tree plants or planting annual plants that are densely canopied and deeply rooted, planting shrubs and grasses.
