PREDIKSI EROSI DI SUB DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI PUNRANGA KABUPATEN BARRU, SULAWESI SELATAN

Abstract


This study aims to determine the amount of erosion that occurred in the Punranga Watershed, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. This research was carried out in the Punranga sub-watershed from March to April 2021. The Punranga sub-watershed is the upstream part of the Batupute watershed. The Punranga sub-watershed is administratively located in the Pujananating District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. This study uses the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method to calculate the amount of erosion that occurs. Prediction of the amount of erosion that will occur in the Punranga Sub-watershed, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province with a very light level, namely the use of secondary dry land forest area of 542.59 Ha with an erosion rate of 2.99 tons/ha/year, savanna area of 8.80 Ha with an erosion rate of 0.34 tons/ha/year, and rice fields with an area of 195.98 Ha with an erosion rate of 1.84 tons/ha/year. Moderate erosion rate in the use of dry land mixed with shrubs is 5.26 ha with an erosion rate of 184.79 tons/ha/year and shrubs covering an area of 112.18 ha with an erosion rate of 174.22 tons/ha/year. The level of heavy erosion on the use of open land is 11.63 ha with an erosion rate of 306.66 tons/ha/year
