KAJIAN STATUS HARA N, P, K PADA LAHAN TANAMAN KAKAO (Theobroma cacaoL.) DI KECAMATAN TOMONI, KABUPATEN LUWU TIMUR, PROVINSI SULAWESI SELATAN

Abstract


This research aims to analyze the content of soil nutrients, namely nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), in cocoa plantations in Tomoni District, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Carried out from May to June 2023, survey methods were used to obtain land characteristics and determine the availability of the nutrients N, P and K. Soil samples were taken at the Soil Science and Conservation Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Indonesian Muslim University. This research details six Soil Mapping Units (SPT) which cover cocoa plantation areas. The results of the analysis of soil chemical properties show that the status of the nutrients N, P and K in the soil is in the very low category. The nutrient content of N ranges from 0.06 to 0.8%, phosphorus between 4.12 to 4.35 ppm, and potassium between 1.69 to 9.33 mg/100g. This information provides an overview of the soil conditions in the area, which can be the basis for more optimal fertilizer recommendations to support the growth of cocoa plants.
