EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN TANAMAN KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L) DI KECAMATAN PITUMPANUA KABUPATEN WAJO

Abstract


This study aims to determine the actual and potential land suitability of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) and its limiting factors in Wajo District. This research method uses the FAO method which is carried out by collecting data in the form of rainfall data for the last 5 years obtained at BMKG and collecting basic maps such as administrative maps, slope maps, soil type maps, land use maps, land use maps and slope maps. map. The maps were then overlaid so that 12 land units were obtained and then samples were taken for analysis in the laboratory. The results showed that for cocoa plants in Pitumpanua District, Wajo Regency, according to the marginal (S3) with the limiting factor on rainfall, K2O, N-Total, erosion hazard. Potential land suitability for the development of cocoa plants in the Pitumpanua District for all land units is quite suitable (S2) with a moisture limiting factor that cannot be repaired.
