EFEKTIFITAS PEMBERIAN TRICHOKOMPOS DAN PUPUK NPK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI CABAI MERAH BESAR (Capsicum annuum L.)

Abstract


Efforts made to increase red chili production can be done in several ways, among others through fertilization. One of the organic fertilizers that can increase productivity and plant growth is Trichokompos and NPK fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Trichokompos and NPK fertilizers on the growth and production of large red chilies. This research was conducted in Hasanuddin Village, Mandai District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi starting from March to July 2023. This research was conducted using a two-factor factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) with three replications. The first factor is Trichocompost which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely control, Trichocompost 300 g/plant, Trichocompost 400g/plant and Trichocompost 500 g/plant. The second factor is the application of NPK Phonska (15:15:15) which consists of 3 levels namely 300 kg/ha, 225 kg/ha and 150 kg/ha. The parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per plot. The results showed that the application of Trichocompost 500 g/plant could increase the number of fruits per plant by 75.89. The application of NPK fertilizer 225 kg/ha can increase the weight of fruit per plant which is 546.89. The interaction of Trichocompost and NPK fertilizer tends to give better results on the application of Trichocompost 500 g/plant and NPK fertilizer 150 kg/ha on plant height, age, and fruit weight.
