KARAKTERISASI SIFAT KUALITATIF DAN KUANTITATIF TANAMAN PISANG (Musa spp) DI KECAMATAN MATTIRO BULU DAN KECAMATAN CEMPA KABUPATEN PINRANG

Abstract


The aim of the study was to characterize the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of banana plants. This research was conducted from April to June. The research was conducted in Mattiro Bulu District and Cempa District, Pinrang Regency. The type of research is survey research which is analyzed descriptively. Parameters used in qualitative observations of banana plants are stem color, stem shape, leaf growth direction, petiole shape, leaf blade base shape, leaf upper surface color, leaf lower surface color, fruit skin color, fruit shape, fruit bunch shape and banana heart shape. Parameters used in quantitative observations are stem height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, fruit length, number of fruit per bunch and number of combs per bunch. Banana plants are kirana mas, kepok, mas, raja, ambon, milk, horn, stone, kidang and ship. Qualitative characters in banana plant species have differences and similarities in stem color, stem shape, leaf growth direction, petiole shape, leaf blade base shape, leaf upper surface color, leaf lower surface color, fruit skin color, fruit shape, banana fruit bunch shape and banana heart shape. Characterization of quantitative traits in banana plant species found differences and similarities in the characters of stem height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, fruit length, number of combs per bunch and number of fruits per bunch. The closest banana plant kinship based on the dendrogram is banana kidang, milk and ambon with point 1 while banana plant species that have a fairly distant kinship are mas and raja with point 3.
