EVALUASI KESESUIAN LAHAN TANAMAN JERUK MANIS (Citrus X Sinensis L) DI KECAMATAN BATAUGA, KABUPATEN BUTON SELATAN

Abstract

Evaluation of Land Suitability for Sweet Citrus (Citrus x sinensis) Plants in Batauga District, South Buton Regency (Supervised directly by Mr. Amir Tjoneng and Bakhtiar Ibrahim). This research was conducted from March to July 2020, in Batauga District, Kab. South Buton. This study aims to determine the actual and potential land suitability for the development of Sweet Citrus Plants in Batuaga District, South Buton District. The research method, namely pre-survey, was carried out by collecting secondary data such as rainfall data for the last 10 years obtained from related agencies and collecting basic maps as well as administrative maps, soil type maps, slope maps and land use maps. The map is overley / tumpag wall so that it gets 4 types of soil. Soil sampling in a composite field observations based on the type of soil. Soil samples are analyzed in the laboratory. The soil properties obtained are adjusted to the information required in the land suitability study based on the FAO method. The results of the analysis were evaluated for land suitability classes, for sweet orange plants based on predetermined land criteria. Then the limiting factor is obtained in the actual land suitability class UL 3. S3, UL 30. S3, UL 8, N1 and Ul 11, S3 after improvements are made to actual land suitability into potential UL 3.
