LAMA FERMENTASI DAN VOLUME EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISM-4 (EM4) DALAM PEMBUATAN PUPUK ORGANIK PADAT BERBAHAN DASAR SERBUK GERGAJI KAYU DAN KOTORAN AYAM

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time and the best effective microorganism-4 (EM4) volume and the interaction between fermentation time and effective microorganism-4 (EM4) volume in the manufacture of solid organic fertilizer based on sawdust and chicken manure. This research was conducted in Pekaloa Village, Towuti District, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province for 2 months. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a two-factor factorial pattern. The first factor was the duration of fertilizer fermentation, which consisted of five levels of treatment, namely 21 days of fermentation, 28 days of fermentation, 35 days of fermentation, 42 days of fermentation and 49 days of fermentation. The second factor is the volume of EM4 which consists of 3 treatment levels, namely 50 ml, 100 ml and 150 ml. The results showed that solid organic fertilizer made from sawdust 1 kg + chicken manure 1 kg tended to be better 49 days which had a value of N (0.40%), P (31.21 mg/100g), K (1.36% ), C-Organic (5.21%) while the best value of C/N ratio is (10.66). The best volume of effective microorganisms-4 (EM4) tends to be higher is 150 ml. There is no interaction between fermentation time and volume (EM4).
