EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium Cepa.L) DI KECAMATAN LEMBANG KABUPATEN PINRANG

Abstract


This research was conducted in Lembang District, Pinrang Regency, from November to December 2021. The aim was to determine the suitability of actual and potential land and the limiting factors for shallot (Allium cepa L.) plants in Lembang District, Pinrang Regency. This research was based on the FAO method which has been modified by the department of agriculture with the approach of land characteristic factors. The results of the analysis of the actual land suitability class of shallot plants on entisol soil types land units 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,11,12,13,14,15,16 and 19 on marginally suitable entisol types (S3wa .rc.nr.na,eh) with the limiting factors of water availability (rainfall), rooting medium (texture), nutrient retention (soil pH and c-organic), available nutrients (P205) and erosion hazard level (slope and erosion hazard) ). These limiting factors are carried out in the high category. Ultisol soil types in land units 9,10,17,18,20,21 and 22 are also marginally compatible (S3wa.rc.nr.na) with limiting factors for water availability (rainfall), root media (texture), nutrient retention (pH soil and c-organic), available nutrients (P205).
