EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN TANAMAN PORANG (Amarphopallus ancophillus) DI KECAMATAN MA’RANG KABUPATEN PANGKEP

Abstract


This study aims to determine the actual and potential land suitability of porang plants in Ma'rang District, Pangkajenne Regency and Islands and to determine the inhibiting factors of a land against Porang Plants in Ma'rang District, Pangkajenne Regency and Islands. This research was carried out in Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency and took place from December 2020 to February 2022. The method used in this research is a survey method and land suitability class determination based on the FAO (food and agriculture organization) method which has been modified by the Ministry of Agriculture. The results showed that based on the actual land suitability of land units 1 to 10 according to marginal (S3), while for potential land suitability of land units 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 marginally suitable (S3) and land 2, 3 is quite suitable (S2). Limiting factors of actual land suitability for land units 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 root media (texture), nutrient retention (C-Organic), available nutrients (P2O5 and K2O), danger erosion (slope), while the limiting factors for potential land suitability of land units are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 root media (texture) and land preparation (surface rocks and rock outcrops).
