PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI MACAM PUPUK ORGANIK PADAT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN TANAH MENYIMPAN AIR

Abstract


Continuous land cultivation without paying attention to the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil will reduce soil fertility, thereby impacting land productivity. Efforts to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of soil by applying organic fertilizer. The aim of the research is to determine the type of solid organic fertilizer that is able to retain water in the soil. The research used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 4 (four) and 3 (three) replications to obtain 12 treatments. The treatment consists of cow manure, chicken manure and compost. The dose of solid organic fertilizer is 30 tonnes/ha each. The plot size is 25 cm × 25 cm × 20 cm. The analysis results show that cow manure has the best ability to retain water in the soil compared to chicken manure and compost.
