PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK AN-ORGANIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN JAGUNG KUNING (Zea mays L.)

Abstract


This research was conducted at Balitcereal Agricultural Research Installation, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi from November 2021 to March 2022. The study was aim to determine effect of inorganic fertilizers on growth and yield of maize. The study using Randomized Block Design, consisted of 7 treatments: without fertilizer; (SP 36 +KCl), (Urea+KCl); (Urea+SP 36); (Urea+SP 36+KCl); (Phonska+Urea); Growmore. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Parameters observed ie: plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, ear length, ear diameter, grain weight, weight 100 seeds and grain yield. Results showed that use of various types inorganic fertilizers had significant effect on parameters: plant height, leaf length, leaf width, ear length and seed weight per ear, but had no significant effect on number of leaves, height of cob, cob diameter and weight of 100 seeds. The results of the conversion of seed weight to t ha-1 showed that use of Phonska+Urea (300+200 kg ha-1) resulted in the highest seed weight (8.1 t ha-1) was significantly different from the treatment without fertilizer (1.7 t ha-1), SP 36+KCl (1.9 t ha-1), but not significantly different from the treatments Urea+KCl (7.1 t/ha), Urea+SP 36 (7.0 t/ha) and Urea+SP 36+KCl (7.8 t ha-1).
