ANALISIS KEKERINGAN PERTANIAN MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS DI KECAMATAN AMALI KABUPATEN BONE

Abstract


This research aims to identify potential agricultural land vulnerable to drought in the Amali District using the Geographic Information System (GIS) method. The study was conducted from March to April, located in the Amali District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Drought hazard analysis was carried out using GIS and divided into several stages, including preparation, collection of base maps, thematic map creation, drought analysis, and presentation of research results. Figure 1 illustrates the stages of this research. The activities began with the collection of data and supporting maps, literature review, and secondary data analysis, particularly related to drought. Search and collection of data and information related to drought were conducted by visiting relevant institutions and searching through the internet. The research results indicate that areas with a high potential for drought vulnerability are predominantly located in the eastern part of the Amali District. The southern part of the Amali District is categorized as highly vulnerable to drought due to the moderately steep slope. The Amali District, classified as having a moderate level of drought, is almost scattered in every region.
