PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BIOCHAR SEKAM PADI DAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR (POC) DAUN GAMAL TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN CABAI RAWIT (Capsicum frutescens L.)

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to ascertain how rice hull biochar and POC derived from gamal leaves influence the development and production of cayenne pepper. From June to September 2022, this study was carried out in the Green House Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Muslim University of Indonesia.A two-factor factorial randomized block design (RAK) was used in this study. The first factor is biochar made from rice husks, which has four levels: 0 tons/ha, 6 tons/ha, 12 tons/ha, and 18 tons/ha.The concentration of POC in gamal leaves, which ranges from 75 ml/liter to 150 ml/liter and 225 ml/liter, is the second factor.Thus, 12 treatment combinations were obtained. There were 36 experimental units because each combination was used three times.Plant height, flowering age, number of branches, fruit weight, and production per hectare were all observed in this study. According to the findings of this study, a rate of six tons of rice husk biochar per hectare resulted in increases in plant height, branch count, fruit weight, and hectare-level production.The administration of gamal leaf POC had no effect on any of the observation's parameters. For all observation parameters, the interaction between the administration of gamal leaf POC and rice husk biochar was not optimal
