EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN TANAMAN CABAI RAWIT (Capsicum frutescens L.) DI KECAMATAN TOMPOBULU KABUPATEN GOWA

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to evaluate the actual and potential land suitability levels and limiting factors for cayenne pepper crops in Tompobulu District, Gowa Regency. The method used in this research is survey method and descriptive data analysis and determination of land suitability class based on FAO method which has been modified by the Ministry of Agriculture. The results showed that the actual land suitability for cayenne pepper plants in Tompobulu District all land units (1,2,3,4,6,7,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17) were marginally suitable (S3n) with limiting factors of available nutrients namely N-Total, P2O5, and K2O while potential land suitability was very suitable (S1).
