UJI ADAPTASI BEBERAPA VARIETAS DAN GENOTIPA JAGUNG DI KECAMATAN GALESONG KABUPATEN TAKALAR
Abstract
This study aimed to overcome the problem of environmental suitability in variety selection by identifying varieties that have adaptive and nutrient-efficient properties. This research, using the Group Random Design (RAK) method with seven treatment varieties, sought to determine which genotypes adapt well to environmental conditions in Galesong District, Takalar Regency. The results showed that the local pulut variety influenced plant height, while the new putra variety 1 influenced the number of leaves. The white srikandi variety had an influence on male flowering age, cob length, and cob diameter. The hope variety 3 had a significant influence on female flowering age, cob height from ground level, weight of 50 cobs, yield, and production per hectare. Meanwhile, the pulut uri variety influenced the weight of 100 seeds. Overall, the Hope variety 3 showed the most significant influence on yield and production per hectare across multiple measured parameters.
