RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI JAMUR TIRAM PUTIH (Pleurotus ostreatus) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN DOSIS KAPUR DAN KONSENTRASI EM4

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of lime and EM4 on the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). This study was conducted from November to December 2022, in Kuajang Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The materials used in this study were sawdust, fine bran, lime, water, EM4, labels, PVC pipes, raffia rope, rubber, and plastic baglogs (polypropylene). The tools used were pens, pots, scoops, sieves, spray tanks, buckets, tarpaulins, analytical scales, rulers, and calipers. The research method used a two-factor randomised block design (RAK). The first factor was the lime dosage, which consisted of four treatments: control, 10 g baglog-1, 15 g baglog-1 and 20 g baglog-1. The second factor was the EM4 concentration, which consisted of: control, 15 ml/l water, 20 ml/l water, and 25 ml/l water, resulting in 96 experimental units using 2 baglogs per experimental unit. The research parameters were cap width, cap diameter, mushroom stem length, and mushroom wet weight. The results showed that adding 10 g of lime per baglog to the mushroom growing medium had a better effect on the cap width, stem length, and fresh weight of oyster mushrooms. The addition of EM4 at a concentration of 20 ml/l water to the white oyster mushroom growing medium had a better effect on the stem length and fresh weight of white oyster mushrooms. Meanwhile, the combination of lime dosage and EM4 concentration had a better effect on the stem length and fresh weight of white oyster mushrooms.
