PENGARUH PEMBERIAN DOSIS STARBIO DAN LAMA FERMENTASI LIMBAH JERAMI PADI TERHADAP KUALITAS PAKAN TERNAK SAPI BALI
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the dose of Starbio and the duration of fermentation of rice straw waste on the quality of feed for Bali cattle, to determine the effect of the interaction between the dose and duration of fermentation of rice straw on the quality of feed for Bali cattle. This experiment was carried out from May to June 2021 at the Experimental Garden of the Agricultural Technology Study Center (BPTP) in Pa'bentengan Village, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. Chemical analysis at the Animal Nutrition and Food Laboratory, Animal Health Service, UPT for Testing the Quality of Animal Husbandry Products in Makassar. The experiment was arranged using a completely randomized design (CRD) method with a two-factor factorial pattern and repeated 3 times. The first factor Starbio dose consists of 3 levels: 100 grams of strabio, 125 grams of starbio, and 150 grams of starbio. The second factor is the length of fermentation consisting of 3 levels: 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 4 weeks. The parameters observed were crude protein analysis and crude fiber analysis. The results showed that giving a dose of 125 grams of starbio and 2 weeks of fermentation gave the highest value for crude protein, namely 16.5 percent and the lowest value at a dose of 125 grams with a 3-week fermentation period of 6.07 percent. Giving a dose of 125 grams with a fermentation period of 2 weeks gave the lowest value for crude fiber, namely 25.25 percent and the highest value at a dose of 150 grams with a fermentation time of 4 weeks, which was 29.50 percent. By giving a dose of 125 grams, it gives the lowest value with a fermentation time of 2 weeks and has a significant effect on the quality of Bali cattle feed. The interaction of starbio dose treatment and fermentation time had a significant effect on crude protein and no significant effect on crude fiber.
