EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN UNTUK TANAMAN KACANG TANAH (Arachis hypogaea L.) DI KECAMATAN BULUPODDO KABUPATEN SINJAI
Abstract
This research was conducted in Bulupoddo District, Kab. Sinjai, from October to December 2021. This study aims to determine the actual, potential and land suitability of land units for peanut cultivation. The research method, namely FAO, was carried out by collecting rainfall data for the last 10 years in Bulupoddo Regency obtained from the BMKG Maros as well as land use maps, soil type maps, and slope maps. The map is overlaid. The soil samples were analyzed in the laboratory covering soil properties, namely texture, soil CEC, soil pH, organic C, total N, P2O5, and K2O adjusted to the information needed in land suitability research based on the FAO method. The data obtained are secondary data and primary data which are then compared with land suitability criteria for peanuts according to FAO. The results showed that the actual land suitability of peanut plants in Bulupoddo District on land units 1 and 2 according to marginal (S3re), land units 3,5,9,10 according to marginal (S3r), land units 4,8,11,12 according to marginal (S3rf), land units 6 and 7 according to marginal (S3rfe). Land suitability potential according to marginal (S3r). The limiting factor for land suitability is actually the rooting medium (soil texture). The limiting factors for root media (soil texture), nutrient retention (soil pH), the level of erosion hazard (slope), while the limiting factors for land potential are root media (soil texture).
