PENGARUH BERBAGAI JENIS MEDIA TANAM DAN KONSENTRASI NUTRISI LARUTAN HIDROPONIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN MENTIMUN JEPANG (Cucumis sativus L.)

Abstract


This research was conducted in Matompi Village, Towuti Subdistrict, East Luwu Regency, which took place from October to December 2019. The aims of this study were to observe at the interaction effect of the type of planting medium and nutrient concentration of hydroponic solution on the growth of Japanese cucumber plants, the effect of the type of planting medium on the growth of Japanese cucumber plants, and the effect of the hydroponic solution on the growth of Japanese cucumber plants. This research was conducted using the Dutch Bucket hydroponic system.

This research was conducted in the form of an experiment which was arranged based on a randomized block design (RBD) in the form of a two-factor factorial. The first factor was the type of rice husk and cocopeat growing medium), and the second factor was the concentration of nutrients in the hydroponic solution which consisted of three levels, namely, 2mL / L, 4mL / L, and 6 mL / L. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, flower age, fruit weight, fruit diameter, and fruit length.

The results showed that the concentration of hydroponic solute nutrients at a dose of 6 mL/L had a better effect on the growth of Japanese cucumbers, which increased plant height, number of leaves, flower therapy time, fruit diameter, fruit weight and fruit length compared to other doses.
